Born in NYC critically acclaimed finger style Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter Peter Betan has been performing professionally as an independent original artist for over 25 years in the South Florida area. A constant creative force, Peter Betan’s instrumental guitar music and songwriting mixes elements of Jazz, World, Pop, Folk and Classical/Spanish music styles into a unique foreground of ambient, textural, highly melodic, and percussive musical expressions that breaks the bounds of pop and commercial music.

Dedicated to the finger-style method of playing acoustic guitar, his live performances are a strong indication of his love for creative improvisation and passion in striving to break new ground in instrumental composition within the performance arena. Peter Betan’s songwriting rivals many of the past and present commercially successful songwriters. He has opened shows for a slew of veteran artists like Bob Dylan, Styx, Donovan and Richie Havens among many others.
