Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer whose love for singing began at a young age, which encouraged her to teach herself how to play the guitar. She created a foundation for her career when she started a YouTube channel at the age of 13 where she would post her acoustic songs and would also perform on various radio stations. Ep Entertainment recognized her talent in the fall of 2014 through her YouTube music posts which then led to her being signed with distribution rights to “def jam recordings.” she has quickly become popular among her audiences just by connecting with them and having a down-to-earth personality.
